چکیده

Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (DNET) is a recently described, morphologically unique, and surgically curable low grade brain which included in the WHO CNS classification as neuronal mixed glial tumor. It usually seen children young adults. This entity first described by Damas-Duport 1998 non-recurring with an excellent prognosis. We present case of 30 year old female experiencing seizures well defined space occupying lesion frontal region brain. Contrast enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging was done revealed multilobulated solid cystic mass cortical/ subcortical left lobe. Histological features suggested dysembryoplastic subsequently confirmed on immunohistochemistry GFAP S-100 positivity. The principal differential diagnosis oligodendrogliomas gangliogliomas. Patient did not receive any adjuvant therapy post operatively showed no signs residual disease or recurrence magnetic resonance imaging during follow up. phenytoin for prophylaxis seizures.

Malignant Transformation of a Dysembryoplastic Neuroepithelial Tumor (DNET) Characterized by Genome-Wide Methylation Analysis.

Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumors (DNET) are considered to be rare, benign, and associated with chronic epilepsy. We present the case of a 28-year-old man with a history of epilepsy since age 12. Surgery of an occipital cortical lesion in 2009 revealed a DNET. Five years later, a recurrent tumor at the edge of the resection cavity was removed, and the tissue underwent an intensive diagnos...

The neurologic manifestations associated with ECCL are various including seizures. However, ECCL patients very rarely develop brain tumors that originate from the neuroepithelium. This is the first described case of ECCL in combination with d...
